Peter Biar Ajak, an activist living in Bethesda, was arrested in Phoenix on March 1 and charged with attempting to smuggle weapons from the United States to South Sudan. Ajak, who has pleaded not guilty, faces up to 50 years in prison when his trial starts in August. [The Baltimore Banner]

Wrestler Helen Maroulis is headed to the Paris Olympics
