Air Force helicopter lands near Silver Spring apartment complex

A U.S. Air Force helicopter made an unexpected landing Tuesday outside The Pearl apartments in Silver Spring.

Owner reunites with dumpster-diving puppy

On Thursday morning, a Silver Spring resident found a Rottweiler puppy about 6 months old in a dumpster outside her apartment building.

Through the help of the neighborhood app NextDoor, “Montgomery County Maryland Lost Pets” Facebook group and Animal Control, the puppy was safely returned to its owner within an hour. (The MoCoShow}

Bethesda resident approved as Baltimore Orioles’ new owner

Major League Baseball unanimously approved David Rubenstein and his group as majority owners of the Baltimore Orioles on Wednesday.
