Joel Rubin, former Chevy Chase mayor, drops out of 6th Congressional District race

Joel Rubin, a Democrat, announced Wednesday that he has dropped out of the race for Maryland’s 6th Congressional District, which is a seat currently held by Rep. David Trone (D).

Rubin was the Chevy Chase mayor from 2017 to 2023 and served in the U.S. Department of State under the Obama administration from 2014 to 2015.

Wawa in Gaithersburg is now open

Wawa’s first Montgomery County location at 405 S Frederick Ave. in Gaithersburg is holding its grand opening and ribbon cutting today.

Barbie Truck Dream House Living Tour coming to Bethesda

The Barbie truck, which tours around the country, will be in Bethesda Row later this month distributing merchandise including necklaces, mugs, blankets and bags.

The truck, with the Barbie logo on the side surrounded by bright colors and designs, will be on Bethesda Lane across from the Apple Store from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on March 30.

“Barbie is living the dream and cruising to a city near you,” the organizers said. “Come check out the new Dreamhouse Living Tour with exclusive merch only available on the Barbie Truck Tour.” [Patch]
