Wootton High School receives second bomb threat in two months

The bomb threat was determined to be not valid, police said

Thomas S. Wootton High School in Rockville evacuated this afternoon for the report of a bomb threat, Montgomery County Police said at 2:17 p.m. on X, formerly Twitter, but it was determined not valid.

At 2:56 p.m., police said that school dismissal was delayed, and students would be able to return to the building to get on their school buses as soon as possible.

Rockville City Police said on social media that they assisted county police at the scene.

Wootton High School previously received a bomb threat on Nov. 27, and it was determined to be not valid.
