MCPS paying ‘expert’ $130 an hour for COVID-related PR help, records show
Montgomery County Public Schools is paying a new part-time employee $130 an hour to help improve its pandemic-related public relations, records show.

Sen. Smith opts out of race for attorney general
Sen. William C. Smith Jr. (D-Montgomery) has decided not to enter the race for attorney general.
He said he decided over the weekend to remain the legislature, in part because of “logistical concerns,” most notably the prohibition on raising funds while the General Assembly is in session. [Maryland Matters]
