Marriott has released details about three restaurants that will be in the new hotel adjacent to the company’s new headquarters in downtown Bethesda. Both the headquarters and the hotel are scheduled to open next year.

The 245-room hotel on Woodmont Avenue — set to open in January, according to Marriott’s website — will feature a rooftop bar called Hip Flask that includes an “exclusive elevator” and three-sided glass windows. It will serve small plates and craft cocktails, according to the website.

Hip Flask will have folding glass walls that will open to a balcony, Marriott spokesman Mark Indre wrote in an email to Bethesda Beat. The bar’s elevator will be off the hotel’s main entrance, he wrote.

The second restaurant, Seventh State, will feature an Italian wood oven. The restaurant has a foldable glass partition that opens to a plaza, Indre wrote.

The third restaurant will be called M Club. Marriott gave no other details about M Club other than that members of Marriott’s Bonvoy membership program will “appreciate the exclusivity” of the restaurant.

According to Marriott’s website, the lobby will feature a grand staircase, a 360-degree lobby bar and USB charging stations.

Robert Dyer previously reported on the plans for Marriot’s Bethesda hotel.
