Kusshi Ko, a new sushi restaurant, will open at 8512 Fenton St. in downtown Silver Spring in the space formerly occupied by Gusto Farm to Street.

Owner Wesley Yao wrote in an email to Bethesda Beat on Monday that the restaurant will serve Donburi (rice bowls), ramen poke and sushi rolls.

Yao — who also owns Hanaro Sushi in Bethesda, Poke Dojo in Bethesda and Kusshi Sushi in North Bethesda — didn’t have additional details on the timing of the opening.

“We just started working on getting permits for the renovation in the space,” he wrote.

Gusto announced in January that its Silver Spring location had closed permanently due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Moco Show previously reported on Kusshi Ko’s impending arrival.
