Gelato kiosk coming to Westfield Montgomery mall in Bethesda
Gelato Galaxy, a new gelato kiosk, is coming to Bethesda’s Westfield Montgomery mall.
The stand has been set up in the mall’s food court last week and this week, but is not yet serving.
It will serve gelati (Italian ice layered with custard), “galaxy blast” (custard mixed with a topping) and “solar swirl” (Italian ice blended with custard). Each of those will be between $5 and $7.
Gelato Galaxy will also serve more traditional offerings such as Italian ice, gelato and soft serve custard for $4 to $6.

Doughnut shop opens in Rockville Town Square
Momo Mochi, an eatery serving Japanese-style doughnuts, opened last week in Rockville Town Square.
Momo Mochi specializes in Mochinuts, which are made with rice flower instead of yeast. The rice flower creates a crisp outside and a soft, chewy inside, according to the website.
Mochinuts are glazed with various flavors such as chocolate or vanilla, and topped with cookies, fruits, nuts and other offerings.
Momo Mochi is at 225 N. Washington St. in The Spot food hall. The doughnut shop opened on July 27, according to its Instagram page.
Momo Mochi is open from noon to 10 p.m. Tuesday through Sunday.
Juice and smoothie establishment opens in Silver Spring
Nips Juice House, a fruit juice and smoothie establishment that started in Waldorf, opened at 8710 Cameron St. in Silver Spring over the weekend.
Nips serves a variety of cold pressed juices, fruit bowls and smoothies, according to the website. It opened in Silver Spring on Saturday, according to its Instagram page.
