Thefts from vehicles

  • Money and property were taken from a vehicle in the area of East West Highway and Beach Drive between 11:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. on April 17. Force was reported.
  • Property was taken from two vehicles between April 13 and 16. The thefts happened in the 4800 block of Bethesda Avenue and the 4700 block of Maple Avenue. Force was reported.
  • Property was taken from three vehicles between April 6 and 14. Affected streets included Pratt Place, Shaftsbury Street and Mertford Street.
  • Property was taken from a vehicle in the 4700 block of Bradley Boulevard between 2:10 and 2:30 p.m. on April 13. Force was reported.
  • Property was taken from four vehicles between April 6 and 16. Affected streets included Elsmere Avenue, Granby Street, Hempstead Avenue and Hollins Drive.
  • Parts were taken from two vehicles between 11:45 p.m. on April 15 and 6 a.m. on April 16. The thefts happened in the 7300 block of Westlake Terrace and the 7400 block of Democracy Boulevard. Force was reported.

Vehicle thefts

  • A vehicle was taken in the 7000 block of MacArthur Boulevard between 7 p.m. on April 16 and 8 a.m. on April 17. The vehicle was recovered on April 20.
  • A vehicle was taken in the 8700 block of Ridge Road between 10 p.m. on April 14 and 7 a.m. on April 15. The vehicle was reportedly left unlocked with the key inside.
  • A vehicle was taken in the 5300 block of Camberley Avenue between midnight and 8 a.m. on April 15. The vehicle was reportedly left unlocked with the key inside. It was recovered three days later.
  • A vehicle was taken in the 6800 block of Granby Street between 6 p.m. on April 15 and 8:40 a.m. on April 16.

Rockville area (including Rockville, North Potomac, Darnestown, Poolesville)

Thefts from vehicles

  • Property was taken from a vehicle in the first block of Fedor Avenue around 8:10 a.m. on April 11.

Vehicle thefts

  • A vehicle was taken in the 11100 block of Post House Court between 10 p.m. on April 13 and 6:30 a.m. on April 14.
  • A vehicle was taken in the 17500 block of Hoskinson Road between 9 p.m. on April 13 and 8:30 a.m. on April 14. It was recovered on April 14.

Silver Spring area (including Silver Spring, Fairland, Burtonsville)

Thefts from vehicles

  • Parts were taken from multiple vehicles between April 10 and 16. Affected streets included Colesville Road, Wayne Avenue, Thayer Avenue and 13th Street. Force was reported in three cases.
  • Parts were taken from multiple vehicles between April 8 and 17. Affected streets included Mt. Pisgah Road, Corliss Street, Northampton Drive, Hampshire West Court and Avenel Road. Force was reported.
  • Parts were taken from three vehicles between April 10 and 16. Affected streets included Rumsfeld Terrace, Columbia Pike and Treetop View Court. Force was reported in two cases.

Vehicle thefts

  • A vehicle was taken in the 8700 block of Georgia Avenue between 3:40 p.m. on April 12 and 1:30 p.m. on April 14. A key was reportedly left inside. The vehicle was recovered on April 20.
  • A vehicle was taken in the 2000 block of Treetop Lane between 8:30 p.m. on April 16 and 2:30 p.m. on April 17.
  • A motorcycle was taken in the 14000 block of Castle Boulevard between 7 p.m. on April 14 and 8 a.m. on April 15.

Armed robberies

  • Someone stole merchandise from Giant Food at 1280 East West Highway around 5:53 p.m. on April 15. The robber displayed a weapon when an employee tried to stop him.
  • Eleven people took property from a man in the 9700 block of Mt. Pisgah Road around 8:31 a.m. on April 15. The robbers displayed a weapon.

Commercial burglary

  • Property was taken from a shed at the Manchester House Apartments at 25 E. Wayne Ave. between 10 a.m. on April 8 and 11:45 a.m. on April 13. Force was reported.

Gaithersburg area (including Gaithersburg, Montgomery Village)

Thefts from vehicles

  • Parts were taken from two vehicles between 6 p.m. on April 12 and 6 p.m. on April 13. The thefts happened in the 18800 block of Strawberry Knoll Road and the 18500 block of Boysenberry Drive. Force was reported in one case.
  • Money, property and parts were taken from multiple vehicles between April 9 and 15. Affected streets included the area of Cinnabar Drive and East Village Avenue, Kindly Court, Watkins Mill Road, Rothbury Lane and Ravenglass Way. Force was reported in one case.
  • Property was taken from a vehicle in the 18500 block of Strawberry Knoll Road between 6:30 p.m. on April 12 and 7:10 a.m. on April 13.

Vehicle thefts

  • A vehicle was taken in the 9300 block of Corporate Boulevard between 6 p.m. on April 13 and 8:15 a.m. on April 14.
  • A vehicle was taken in the 7800 block of Briardale Terrace around 1:15 p.m. on April 12.
  • A vehicle was taken in the 18600 block of Nathans Place between 2 and 10 a.m. on April 17.
  • A vehicle was taken in the 19300 block of Club House Road between 8 p.m. on April 14 and 10 a.m. on April 15. Force was reported. The vehicle was recovered on April 15.
