‘Vaccine Hunters’ help elderly residents book appointments

A group of teachers is helping elderly residents and non-English speaking residents in Montgomery County get COVID-19 vaccine appointments.

The ladies, who dub themselves “vaccine hunters,” have spent long nights reviewing different links to register, confirming places that accept sign-ups and keeping track of available appointments. [WUSA]

Eleanor (Elie) McConihe Cain, known to many long-time residents as the mayor of Potomac, has died of complications related to COVID-19.

Wheaton High School goes virtual for annual career day

Marcela Lovo, an AP Spanish teacher at Wheaton High School, wanted to bring a bit of normalcy to her students while practicing their Spanish-speaking skills.
