Bethesda Beat has compiled a voters guide for Gaithersburg’s 2021 election, with biographical information about the candidates, plus their answers to our questionnaires.
Two candidates are running for mayor. Five candidates are running for two seats on the City Council.
Voting will be done in person from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Election Day, which is Nov. 2. The only polling site is the Activity Center at Bohrer Park.
Early voting will be held Oct. 23 and 24 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., also at the Activity Center at Bohrer Park.
Same-day registration is available for early voting and on Election Day.
Voting also will be done through mail-in ballots. Call 301-258-6310 to request a mail-in ballot application if you did not receive one. Applications are available at City Hall weekdays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. To download an application, go to www.gaithersburgmd.gov. Email it back at cityelections@gaithersburgmd.gov.
There are drop boxes for ballots at:

• Activity Center at Bohrer Park
• Robertson Park Youth Center
• Kentland Manson/Arts Barn
• Montgomery County Board of Elections
• Asbury Methodist Village (for Asbury residents only)
Ballots also may be mailed to: City Hall, 31 S. Summit Ave., Gaithersburg, MD 20877. They must be postmarked by Nov. 2 and received by 5 p.m. Nov. 4.
