Montgomery County records 120 new cases of COVID-19 on Saturday

County's new total is 21,760 cases

Montgomery County added 120 confirmed cases of COVID-19 on Saturday morning, an increase of 0.55% from Friday.

On seven of the 19 days in September, there have been daily increases of 100 or more cases in the county. In all of August, there were six days with at least 100 new COVID-19 cases.

There have been 21,760 confirmed cases of the coronavirus in Montgomery County and 797 confirmed deaths. One new death was recorded Saturday.

There have been 40 “probable” deaths from the virus. “Probable” deaths have the coronavirus listed as the cause of death on certificates but have not been confirmed by laboratory tests yet.

Statewide, 682 new cases were recorded on Saturday morning, bringing Maryland’s total to 119,744 cases. There have been 3,732 deaths across the state.
