A new development plan calls for razing a dentist office on Chevy Chase Drive in Bethesda and replacing it with a 70-unit condominium building.
The condo building would stand a maximum of 70 feet tall, according to project plans filed with the Montgomery County Planning Department this week. The southern facade of the building would stand only 35 feet tall.
Developer Winthrop Investment Group has proposed including 63 parking spaces and 35 bicycle parking spaces in a below-ground parking garage. In total, the proposed project includes about 85,000 square feet of development.
The building will include a fitness center, a “wellness area” and a rooftop deck, according to the development application.
The dentist office currently on the property operates in a 3,536-square-foot single-family home. There is a 5,848-square-foot parking lot on the property.
The property, at 4702 Chevy Chase Drive, is just west of the Bethesda Fire Department.
