Montgomery County police are investigating a bank robbery at Navy Federal Credit Union in Gaithersburg Monday night.
According to a press release sent Tuesday, officers from both the county police and Gaithersburg Police Department responded to a call just after 5:50 p.m. on Monday. The report was that a dark-skinned male wearing hospital scrubs, a black Adidas cap, glasses and a head covering gave a note to the teller announcing the robbery.
The robber demanded cash, implied he was armed and stole money before fleeing, police said. The press release did not say how much money the robber took.
Navy Federal Credit Union representatives declined to comment Tuesday.
Anyone with information is asked to contact the Montgomery County Police Department’s Major Crimes Division at 240-773-5100 or Crime Solvers at 866-411-TIPS (8477).
