A Silver Spring man has died after a motorcycle crash on Friday, police said.
Montgomery County police on Wednesday identified the man who died as Jeremy Cross, 22, of Woodside Parkway.
Police said in a press release that the crash happened on Friday on Md. 355, near Comus Road, in Clarksburg.
Cross was heading north on Frederick Road when his 2019 Kawasaki Ninja 400 motorcycle crashed into a 2013 Audi A4 heading the opposite direction.
Cross was taken to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries. He died Tuesday evening.
The driver of the Audi was identified as 26-year-old Natalie Weill of Gaithersburg. She was taken to a local hospital with minor injuries.
No charges had been filed regarding the incident as of Wednesday morning.
Cross’ death is at least the third motorcycle-related fatality involving a county resident in the last two weeks.
John Lee, 46, of Rockville, was killed when his motorcycle hit a tree in a Woodbridge, Va., incident on Aug. 11. Dan J. Stanback, 25, of Gaithersburg, was killed in a crash between two motorcycles on Aug. 17 in Frederick County.
