Thefts from vehicles
Money and property were taken from multiple vehicles between July 28 and Aug. 2. Thefts occurred on Virgilia and Underwood streets, Woodmont Avenue, MacArthur Boulevard and Arlington Road. Forced entry was reported in multiple incidents.
Money, property and parts were taken from four vehicles between 6 p.m. July 28 and 8 a.m. July 29. Thefts occurred on Brewer House Road and Patapsco, Englishman and Monongahela drives. Forced entry was reported in one event.
Vehicle theft
A vehicle was taken from the 3600 block of Farragut Avenue between 10 p.m. July 28 and 7 a.m. July 29. No forced entry was reported. The vehicle was reportedly left unlocked.
Aggravated assault
A person displayed a weapon and assaulted a man in the 10100 block of Cedar Lane at 10 p.m. July 30.
Residential burglary
Property was taken from a residence in the 5300 block of Westbard Avenue between midnight July 25 and 4:32 p.m. Aug. 2. No forced entry was reported.
Rockville
Residential burglary
Property was taken from a residence in the 12700 block of Huntsman Way between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. Aug. 1. No forced entry was reported. A door was reportedly left unlocked.
Silver Spring
Thefts from vehicles
Money and property were taken from multiple vehicles between July 26 and Aug. 3. Thefts occurred on Wayne, New Hampshire and Georgia avenues; Veterans Plaza; Avenel Gardens and Stewart lanes; Mount Pisgah and Dustin roads; Eastbourne, Laurie and Fairridge drives; and Old Columbia Pike. Forced entry was reported in multiple incidents.
Property and parts were taken from two vehicles between 8 p.m. July 29 and 6 a.m. July 30. One theft occurred in the 8800 block of Piney Branch Road and the other occurred in the 500 block of East Indian Spring Drive. Forced entry was reported in one incident.
Vehicle thefts
A vehicle was taken from the 3400 block of Gateshead Manor Way between 2 p.m. July 24 and 4 p.m. July 31. No forced entry was reported.
A vehicle was taken from the 14100 block of Castle Boulevard between 11 p.m. Aug. 2 and 4 a.m. Aug. 3. No forced entry was reported. The vehicle key was reported to be lost. The vehicle was recovered Aug. 3.
Commercial burglary
Merchandise was taken from The Dollar Store at 8716 Piney Branch Road between 1 and 9:15 a.m. Aug. 3. Forced entry was reported.
Residential burglaries
Property was taken from a residence in the 8700 block of 1st Street between 7:30 a.m. and 8 p.m. July 30. No forced entry was reported.
Property was taken from a residence in the 8700 block of 1st Street between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m. July 30. No forced entry was reported.
Property was taken from a residence in the 8700 block of Georgia Avenue between 8:05 a.m. and 5:45 p.m. July 31. No forced entry was reported.
