Thefts from vehicles

Money and property were taken from five vehicles between July 21 and 27. Thefts occurred on Geiger and Denfeld avenues and Findley, Brewer House and Nimitz roads. No forced entry was reported.

Money, property and parts were taken from two vehicles between July 22 and 27. One theft occurred in the 4700 block of Chevy Chase Drive and the other in the 6900 block of Seven Locks Road. Forced entry was reported.

Commercial burglary

Property was taken from The Red Bandana Bakery at 8218 Wisconsin Ave. at 7:36 p.m. July 22. No forced entry was reported. A door was reportedly left unlocked.

Thefts from vehicles

Money and property were taken from four vehicles between July 20 and 26. Thefts occurred on Montrose Road, Oak Knoll Terrace, Casey Lane and Fallsgrove Drive. No forced entry was reported.

Vehicle theft

A vehicle was taken from the 12500 block of Parklawn Drive the morning of July 23. No forced entry was reported. The vehicle was reportedly left unlocked.

Burglary

Someone forced entry into the Fourth Presbyterian School at 10701 South Glen Road at 6:30 p.m. July 27. Nothing was taken.

Silver Spring

Thefts from vehicles

Money and property were taken from multiple vehicles during the reporting period. Thefts occurred on Piney Branch and Curran roads; Vance Place; Lawnsberry and Whitmoor terraces; East Indian Spring, Eastmoor, Lynnmoor, Ridgemoor and Woodmoor drives; Lorain Avenue; Schubert Court; Piano Lane; and Bonifant Street. No forced entry was reported.

Property and parts were taken from three vehicles between July 23 and 27. Thefts occurred on Castlehedge Terrace and Gardiner and Georgia avenues. Forced entry was reported in one theft.

Vehicle thefts

Four vehicles were taken between July 20 and 27. Thefts occurred on Georgia Avenue, Glenville Road, Lockwood Drive and near Piney Branch Road and Flower Avenue. No forced entry was reported.

Commercial burglaries

Money was taken from All in One Spa at 1111 Spring St. at 8:22 p.m. July 25. Forced entry was reported.

Money was taken from the Golden China restaurant at 12719 Old Columbia Pike the morning of July 25. Forced entry was reported.

Money was taken from the PPG Paint Store at 12146 Tech Road between 5:15 p.m. July 24 and 6:15 a.m. July 25. Forced entry was reported.

Residential burglaries

Property was taken from a residence in the 8400 block of Cedar Street between 11 p.m. July 25 and 7:15 a.m. July 26. Forced entry was reported.

Property was taken from a residence in the 10000 block of Menlo Avenue between 1:30 and 3 p.m. July 26. No forced entry was reported.

Property was taken from a residence in the unit block of Stanley Lane between 5:30 a.m. July 16 and 11 a.m. July 18. Forced entry was reported.
