Joe Clair & Friends – Saturday – Bethesda Blues & Jazz Supper Club

Comedian Joe Clair will perform at the Bethesda Blues & Jazz Supper Club on Saturday. Doors open at 9:30 p.m. Tickets are $59.50.

Clair got his start on HBO’s famed Def Comedy Jam before gaining national attention as host of the BET show “Rap City.”

Clair will be joined by Alex Scott, Henry Welch and Eddie Bryant.

25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee Screening – Saturday – Gaithersburg Art Barn

Arts on the Green in partnership with Wildwood Summer Theatre Group present this Tony Award-winning musical about six middle school misfits competing for a spot in the National Spelling Bee.

The movie will be shown twice Saturday at the Arts Barn on Kent Square Road in Gaithersburg. Shows begin at 2 and 8 p.m. The cost is $22.
