Chronicle of Higher Education co-founder dies at 97

Corbin Gwaltney died in his Potomac home at the age of 97. Gwaltney co-founded The Chronicle of Higher Education, an academic news service, in 1966. The newspaper reached a circulation of nearly 100,000 in the 1990s, and Gwaltney served as editor into his late 70s.  [Washington Post]

Graham Holdings completes purchase of Clyde’s Restaurant Group

Members of the Graham family, former owners of The Washington Post who now control Graham Holdings Inc., finalized a deal to buy Clyde’s Restaurant Group. The 56-year-old institution owns several popular restaurants in the Washington region.  [Washington Business Journal]

Police searching for missing Germantown teen

County police were looking for Jeylen Duron, 15, who was last seen near Lakeforest Mall in Gaithersburg Tuesday evening. Duron is described as a Hispanic female, 5 feet, 7 inches tall and weighing 160 pounds. [Montgomery County Police]
