A man was killed in an incident in Sandy Spring involving a tractor Thursday morning, authorities said.
Montgomery County police responded to a call for an injured person near Meeting House Road at 11:30 a.m., spokeswoman Sgt. Rebecca Innocenti said.
Police are investigating the death and do not suspect foul play, Innocenti said.
Police had not released the man’s identity as of Thursday afternoon.
At the time of the call, County fire and rescue services spokesman Pete Piringer posted on Twitter that there was a report of an “injured person caught in machinery.”
In a followup post, Piringer reported the injuries to be traumatic, adding that first responders did not take the victim to a hospital.
