A police officer and an off-duty firefighter rescued several people from a burning house in Colesville early Tuesday morning.

Officials urge caution as strong heat wave approaches
State officials are urging residents to be cautious of extreme weather as a “massive heat dome” is set to linger over the Washington region for the remainder of the week.
