Supreme Court decision could lead to expanded wine sales home deliveries

The Supreme Court ruled a Tennessee law pertaining to residency requirements for liquor licenses unconstitutional. Maryland has similar restrictions on shipping wine, which will likely be removed. The relaxed restrictions could allow larger companies to overtake small businesses in the county, who are already working under the Department of Liquor Control.  [Fox 5]

School security officials gather for training session

More than 200 security officers came to Northwest High School in Germantown this week for the state-required exercise. Attendees worked on prevention techniques, intervention, youth development and de-escalation, among other topics.  [WTOP]
