Thefts for vehicles

Money and property were taken from six vehicles between June 4 and 8. Thefts occurred on Auburn and Wisconsin avenues, Montgomery Lane and McGrath Boulevard. Forced entry was reported in one event.

Property was taken from five vehicles between June 5 and 6. Thefts occurred on Woodson and Lawrence avenues, Hobson Street, and Hillburne Way. No forced entry was reported.

Vehicle theft

A vehicle was taken from the 7400 block of Westlake Terrace between 4 p.m. June 1 and 10:30 a.m. June 3. Entry was not known.

Residential burglary

Property was taken from a residence in the 4700 block of Waverly Avenue between 7:30 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. June 5. No forced entry was reported.

Thefts for vehicles

Property was taken from a vehicle in the 5500 block of Besley Court between 4 p.m. June 3 and 7 a.m. June 4. Forced entry was reported.

Money and property were taken from two vehicles in the 8700 block of Wandering Trail Drive between noon June 4 and 5:55 a.m. June 5. No forced entry was reported.

Money was taken from a vehicle in the 9300 block of Bentridge Avenue between 9 p.m. June 3 and 6:20 a.m. June 4. No forced entry was reported.

Residential burglary

A delivery package containing an Apple watch was taken from a residence in the unit block of Lily Pond Court between 5:29 p.m. and 6 p.m. June 7.

Silver Spring

Thefts for vehicles

Money and property were taken from multiple vehicles during the reporting period. Thefts occurred on Cameron Street, Hartford, New Hampshire and Ramsey avenues, East Falkland Lane, East West Highway, Ellsworth, Southwest, Woodmoor and Lockwood drives, and Blair and Gaffney roads. Forced entry was reported in multiple events.

Money, property and parts were taken from three vehicles between June 1 and 7. One theft occurred in the 700 block of Ludlow Street and two in the 8500 and 9300 blocks of Piney Branch Road. Forced entry was reported.

Aggravated assault

A suspect displayed a weapon and assaulted a victim in the 8500 block of Colesville Road at 5:36 a.m. June 6. Suspect arrested.

Residential burglary

Property was taken from a residence in the 9000 block of Piney Branch Road between 8 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. June 7. Forced entry was reported.

Property was taken from a residence in the 11200 block of Lockwood Drive between 7 p.m. June 2 and 2:15 a.m. June 3. No forced entry was reported.

Strong-arm robbery

Four suspects took money and property from two juvenile males near Columbia Pike and Tech Road at 8:18 p.m. June 3. One victim was assaulted.
