Rope Rugs for Families – Saturday – The Mansion at Strathmore, North Bethesda

Family activity where rope fiber rugs are created, teaching weaving techniques. Activity is in conjunction with the 32nd Biennial Exhibition of the Creative Crafts Council. A Night of 1,000 Laughs – Saturday – Silver Spring

Comedy from performers including Reese Waters, Katherine Jessup and Liz Barlow. A portion of ticket sales will benefit A Wider Circle, a nonprofit helping people meet basic needs and obtain workforce training. 8 p.m. Tickets $16-$22. Bomba y Plena en el Museo – Saturday – Sandy Spring
