Owner says he expects buyer to continue operations

French eatery Le Vieux Logis in Bethesda is for sale, owner Christian Gautrois confirmed Thursday.

The 2,500-square-foot restaurant at 7925 Old Georgetown Road is being listed for $150,000, according to a real estate website.

Gautrois and his wife Christa purchased the business – “The Old Lodge” – in 2014 from original owner Diana Dahan, who ran it since its inception in 1980.

The property was listed on business marketplace platform BizBuySell by a broker, who initially inadvertently identified the restaurant by including its website.

The listing refers to a “Historic Established Restaurant in the heart of old Bethesda,” but did not mention Le Vieux Logis or its address, at the request of Gautrois.

Gautrois confirmed the restaurant is for sale in a phone interview Thursday afternoon, adding that it has garnered interest but he hasn’t found a buyer yet.

Gautrois expects Le Vieux Logis to continue operations after it changes hands, and said he has no plans to open another restaurant at a different location.

Local blogger Robert Dyer first posted the listing. The broker has removed the website link from the post.
