Montgomery Schools administrator chosen as Baltimore County’s next superintendent

Baltimore County’s school board has name Darryl L. Williams as the system’s next superintendent at its meeting Tuesday night. Williams is the associate superintendent for eight school clusters in Montgomery County Public Schools and was formerly the principal of Montgomery Blair High School in Silver Spring from 2007 to 2011. Montgomery County honors Vietnam veterans

Montgomery County officials, including former County Executive Isiah Leggett, honored 130 service members from the county who died in the Vietnam War at a ceremony Tuesday. The ceremony marked one year since a wall honoring the veterans was dedicated on Rockville’s Memorial Plaza. [WTOP]
