A Cloverly area high school was evacuated Monday morning after a bomb threat, authorities said.
James Hubert Blake High School staff received a threatening phone call at 10:57 a.m. stating they had a few minutes to clear the building, according to a letter from Principal Robert Sinclair to parents.
All students and staff evacuated to the stadium field, Sinclair wrote.
County police responded to the school at 300 Norwood Road and conducted inspections of the building. Officers soon gave the all clear, confirming the threat was a false alarm, spokesman Capt. Tom Jordan said.
Students were allowed to re-enter the building after about 75 minutes to resume class, Sinclair wrote.
Blake has 1,624 students.
