Man Arrested after Silver Spring Parking Lot Homicide

Police say dispute between two men precipitated stabbing

Detectives have arrested and charged a man with first-degree murder for a homicide in Silver Spring last week, police announced Thursday.

Oscar Danilo Manzano-Mora, 23, of Silver Spring, is accused of killing of Edras Armando Munoz, 30, during a dispute in a shopping center parking lot.

Officers and emergency personnel responded to 8528 Piney Branch Road, between Flower Avenue and University Boulevard-East, at 10:55 p.m. on May 8 for the report of a dispute.

Munoz was found with a stab wound and taken to a nearby hospital, where he died.

The investigation is ongoing. This is the fourth homicide in the county in 2019.

Manzano-Mora is being held in a county detention center without bond. Online records did not list an attorney as of Thursday morning.
