Casual restaurant and wine bar Cooper’s Hawk Winery & Restaurants will arrive at the Research Row development in Rockville in July.

The restaurant will be the Illinois-based chain’s second location in Maryland, joining one in Annapolis, and 36th location overall.

Cooper’s Hawk in Rockville will be at 1403 Research Blvd. Research Row is a retail shopping center next to Interstate 270 that includes a Chick-fil-A and a Onelife Fitness.

Founded by CEO Tim McEnery in 2005, the restaurant combines handcrafted wine with modern casual dining. All food items are paired with a wine, with the winemaker’s suggestion noted on the menu using the bin number that refers to its storage area.

Appetizers range from $6 to $13, while entrees are around $19 to $35 and include beef, pork, chicken and seafood.

The menu also features burgers and sandwiches a bit cheaper than the entrees, as well as “lunched-sized entrees” at a lower price, available from 11 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

The restaurant also has a Life Balance menu where each item is 600 calories or less.

Cooper’s Hawk has both full-time and part-time positions available and will host a job fair from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. May 21 and 22 at the restaurant.

“We are searching for team members with a passion for wine, food and first-class hospitality,” McEnery said in a statement. “Since we are introducing our innovative concept and wines to Montgomery County, MD, we want team members who can serve as the restaurant’s ambassadors and educate diners on what makes Cooper’s Hawk so unique.”
