Majority of Washington-area residents favor Governor’s toll lane plan

A Washington Post-Schar School poll found 61% of citizens support adding express lanes to the Beltway and Interstate 270 to aid in traffic relief. Montgomery County residents matched the overall average of 61% in favor of the plan. Prince George’s County residents were the lowest of the six jurisdictions included, at 48%. Fairfax County residents led the way at 69%. [Washington Post]

County first responders rescue hiker at Great Falls Park

The man fell while walking near a river on the Billy Goat A trail, a treacherous portion of the park, on Saturday morning. County Fire and Rescue personnel took the man via boat down the Potomac River to an ambulance, and he’s expected to be fine. [WTOP]

Man goes missing from Montgomery Village

Edward Davis Jr., 71, of New Carrollton, was last seen getting into a cab after visiting family in Montgomery Village, and never arrived at his destination. [Fox 5]
