Hundreds rally to halt I-270, Beltway expansion plans

An estimated 800 people turned out to a town hall organized by Montgomery County Council Member Tom Hucker on Sunday to protest the widening of two county interstates.

Many of the speakers said the governor has moved too quickly and ignored local leaders, planners and residents in determining how to best relieve traffic congestion in their communities. [Washington Post]
