Chinese restaurant Wang Dynasty will open on Wednesday at the former Shanghai Village location in Bethesda.
The cuisine will be a mix of dishes from Shanghai and Taiwan, drawing from the owner’s two previous restaurants, Pacifica Café and Michael’s Noodles.
Wang Dynasty will “plan to be [the] preeminent and go-to Chinese restaurant in Bethesda,” owner David Wang said in a February news release.
Wang Dynasty had a private opening Monday with landlords and media representatives. The menu features entrees ranging from $12 to $27, including fish, pork and chicken dishes. Larger party-style items are priced higher and a whole Peking duck is $39.95.
Shanghai Village closed in February after 15 years at 4929 Bethesda Ave.
