Montgomery County GreenFest – Sunday – Brookside Gardens
Now in its fifth year, the county’s annual Earth Day celebration includes entertainers, crafts, environmental workshops and demonstrations, including electric vehicles. The event, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., is free and a free shuttle will operate to the park from the Glenmont Metrorail station. Brookside Gardens is at 1800 Glenallan Ave., Wheaton.
Adventure Theatre’s “Winnie The Pooh – Saturday and Sunday – Glen Echo Park

Kensington Day of the Book Festival – Sunday – Old Town Kensington
The 14th annual street festival, held rain or shine, celebrates the International Day of the Book with more than 100 local authors, poets, publishers, children’s authors, literary and community organizations set up along three blocks of Howard and Armory avenues.
