Federal officials looking into Asian-American student discrimination

A woman was raped on Saturday after exiting a Ride-On bus in the 19300 blocks of Watkins Mill Road. The suspect is an unknown race male, police said. [WUSA9]
County ends Silver Spring Jazz Festival
The event has been held for the past 15 years and has routinely drawn more than 10,000 people, but funding will be shifted toward smaller activities. County partnering for airport noise study
In conjunction with Arlington County, the Montgomery County Council will pay for a study of a new flight route out of Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport. The route goes up the Potomac River past Bethesda, and the study would look to minimize the noise impact on residents. [WTOP]
