Gunfire in a townhouse neighborhood parking lot in Germantown Tuesday night left one man dead and three other people injured, county police said.
Officers arriving in the 18700 block of Curry Powder Lane after the 9:15 p.m. shooting was reported found three men and a boy with gunshot wounds and detectives said they don’t believe the shooting was “a random event.”
In a posting on social media, the police asked residents to contact them “if they observe any suspicious behavior or activity.”
Police said one man died at a hospital but have not released ages or identities.
One witness said she heard at least eight shots.
The neighborhood of about four dozen townhouses built in the 1970s is about a mile north of Seneca Creek State Park and west of Interstate 270.
