Thefts from vehicles

Property was taken from multiple vehicles during the reporting period. Thefts occurred on Grafton Street, Auburn Avenue, Kensington Parkway, Symphony Park and Greenlawn drives, Arlington, Randolph and Custer roads and Wisconsin Avenue. Forced entry was reported in multiple events.

Money and property were taken from six vehicles between March 26 and 29. Thefts occurred on Briley Place, Montgomery Avenue, Randolph Road, Gate Post Court and Whiterim Terrace. No forced entry was reported.

Residential burglaries

Property was taken from a residence in the 5200 block of Pooks Hill Road between 11:30 a.m. and 9 p.m. March 24. No forced entry was reported.

Property was taken from a residence in the 11100 block of South Glen Road between 3:40 p.m. and 4:24 p.m. March 29. Forced entry was reported.

Property was taken from a vehicle in the 14200 block of Arbor Forest Drive between 11 p.m. March 28 and 7:10 p.m. March 29. No forced entry was reported.

Money and property were taken from two vehicles between March 23 and 29. One theft occurred in the 15200 block of Apricot Lane and the other in the 11600 block of Bedfordshire Avenue. No forced entry was reported.

Commercial burglary

Property was taken from Advantage Self Storage at 12040 Parklawn Drive at 11:07 p.m. March 29. Forced entry was reported.

Residential garage burglary

Money was taken from a garage and a vehicle at a residence in the 15200 block of Apricot Lane between 8 p.m. March 22 and 8:05 p.m. March 24. No forced entry was reported, the garage door and vehicle were reportedly left unlocked.

Silver Spring

Thefts from vehicles

Property was taken from multiple vehicles during the reporting period. Thefts occurred on Ramsey, Sligo, Thayer and East Wayne avenues, Easley, Ripley, Fenton and 13th streets, Fidler Lane, Jessup Blair, East Indian Spring and Noyes drives, Croyden Court and Mount Pisgah Road. Forced entry was reported in multiple events.

Aggravated assault

A suspect assaulted an adult male in the 8300 block of Georgia Avenue the morning of March 24.

Strong-arm robbery

Four suspects assaulted an adult male and took his money and property in the 8600 block of Piney Branch Road the morning of March 24.
