Ken Ludwig’s A Comedy of Tenors—Friday through Sunday—Olney Theatre Center
The Tony Award-winning farce is set in 20th century Paris and follows an opera company facing a casting problem right before a big concert. Olney Theatre Center’s production opened April 10 and continues through May 12. This weekend, there are performances Friday at 8 p.m., Saturday at 8 p.m. and Sunday at 2 p.m. The Saturday show is sold out. Tickets start at $49.
David Meneses—Friday—The Arts Barn, Gaithersburg
D.C.-area magician David Meneses will perform at the Arts Barn. The show runs 8 to 10 p.m., and the Arts Barn Pub opens at 7 p.m. Tickets are $20 for adults and $18 for students.
Lewis Black—Sunday—The Music Center at Strathmore, North Bethesda
Renown stand-up comedian, actor and Silver Spring native Lewis Black will perform at The Music Center Sunday night. Black’s “Back in Black” segment on “The Daily Show” was the longest-running segment in the show’s history. Black has also appeared on “Law & Order” and “The Big Bang Theory.” The show begins at 7:30 p.m.; tickets start at $35.
