Playground to honor plane crash victims in Gaithersburg

The city is partnering with the Where Angels Play Foundation to recognize the Gemmell family, after a plane crashed into their home and killed three members in December 2014. The lot is adjacent to Griffith Park, and will be refurbished beginning in September. [MC Media]

California Tortilla brings back Cubano Bowl after customer vote

The Potomac-based Mexican restaurant chain allowed customers to choose which limited-time item would return to its menu. The Cubano Bowl racked up 4,400 tallies and will come back to all locations until July. [WTOP]
