A San Francisco woman died on Thursday from injuries sustained in a collision in Rockville with a Rockville Volunteer Fire Department truck, police announced Friday.

The Chevrolet Silverado was eastbound on Beall Avenue at around 9:30 p.m. Saturday when it hit Jiayun Karen Liang, 36, and an adult male, police said.

Detectives are still investigating the cause of the collision and have yet to determine exactly where the pedestrians were when they were struck, police said.

Liang was taken to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries, police said, and she died five days later.
