Hogan, Schwarzenegger urge Supreme Court to act on partisan gerrymandering
Maryland Gov. Larry Hogan this week urged the U.S. Supreme Court to act on partisan gerrymandering, calling the issue “one of the most important in America today.”
The Supreme Court heard oral arguments on a case challenging Democratic-led gerrymandering in Maryland.

State lawmakers pass budget that boosts education funding
The Maryland legislature voted overwhelmingly Tuesday to pass a $46.6 billion budget that increases funding for education by more than what Gov. Larry Hogan proposed. [Baltimore Sun]
Suspect arrested after police chase, crash
One person was arrested Tuesday morning after leading police on a chase that ended when the suspect crashed into three other vehicles on Interstate 95.
Montgomery County police said the chase begin around 8:30 a.m. when an officer attempted to pull over a van that was reported stolen. [WUSA9]
Rockville leaders respond to safety concerns near city’s town center
After a Rockville Fire Department vehicle struck to pedestrians over the weekend, leaving one with life-threatening injuries, city officials called pedestrian-involved crashes in the Town Center area “alarming and staggering.”
