The network released a list of contestants last week, including “Joey J.” from Bethesda.

“We are very excited for Joey and wish him the best in this journey,” she said.  Jones is an administrative assistant at Potomac United Methodist Church.

Contestants of “The Bachelor” and “The Bachelorette” have limited to no access to phones during filming, which began this month.

Joey Jones graduated from Georgetown Prep in North Bethesda in 2003, and earned a bachelor’s in management from Boston College in 2007.

“Joey is a great guy,” said Patrick Coyle, a Georgetown Prep classmate who now works for the private school. “It’s cool he’s on the show.”

After college, Jones worked for accounting firm KPMG in Washington, D.C. before moving to the San Francisco Bay area, where he lived for three years.
