Police Blotter: Vehicles Stolen in Bethesda and Silver Spring; Rockville Pizza Carryout Robbed

Bethesda

Thefts from vehicles

Cash and property were taken from multiple vehicles between Feb. 25 and 27. Thefts occurred on Bradley Lane, Rolling Court, Brookville Road and Chestnut, Curtis, Thornapple and Underwood streets. Forced entry was reported in one event.

Cash and property were taken from four vehicles between Feb. 23 and March 1. Thefts occurred on Sleaford Road, Cheltenham Drive and East West Highway. No forced entry was reported.

Property and parts were taken from three vehicles between Feb. 24 and 28. Thefts occurred on Rockville Pike, Dickens Avenue and Cloister Drive. Forced entry was reported.

Vehicle thefts

A vehicle was taken from the 3400 block of Rolling Court between 9:30 p.m. Feb. 25 and 9 a.m. Feb. 26. No forced entry was reported; keys were reportedly left inside the vehicle. The vehicle was recovered Feb. 27.

A vehicle was taken from the 3800 block of Bradley Lane between 8 p.m. Feb. 26 and 9:30 a.m. Feb. 27. Entry was not known. Police arrested two suspects.

Residential burglaries

Property was taken from a residence in the 10800 block of Nantucket Terrace between 7 p.m. and 9 p.m. March 1. No forced entry was reported; a door was reportedly left unlocked.

Property was taken from a residential garage in the 8900 block of Saunders Lane between 6 p.m. Feb. 28 and 10:30 a.m. March 1. No forced entry was reported; the garage door was reportedly left unlocked.

Thefts from vehicles

Property and parts were taken from two vehicles between Feb. 23 and 25. One theft occurred in the 12300 block of Parklawn Drive and the other in the 12100 block of Village Square Terrace. Forced entry was reported.

Property was taken from two vehicles between Feb. 24 and 27. One theft occurred in the 16100 block of Redland Road and the other in the 15500 block of Frederick Road. No forced entry was reported.

Commercial armed robbery

A suspect implied he had a weapon and stole cash from Papa John’s Pizza at 15100 Frederick Road at 10:26 p.m. March 1.

Residential burglary

Cash and property were taken from a residence in the 700 block of Monroe Street between 7:30 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. Feb. 26. Entry was not known.

 

Silver Spring

Thefts from vehicles

Property and parts were taken from two vehicles between Feb. 27 and March 2. One theft occurred in the 8800 block of Garland Avenue and the other in the 8700 block of Geren Road. Forced entry was reported.

Property and parts were taken from three vehicles between Feb. 24 and 28. Thefts occurred on Treetop View Terrace, Old Columbia Pike and Bournefield Way. Forced entry was reported.

Aggravated assaults

A suspect displayed a weapon and assaulted a male near Colesville Road and Fenton Street at 7 p.m. Feb. 25.

A suspect assaulted a male with a weapon in the 7900 block of Georgia Avenue the morning of Feb. 26.

Vehicle thefts

Four vehicles were taken between Feb. 24 and 28. Thefts occurred on Manchester Road, Granville Drive and two on Lawndale Drive. Entry was not known in any of the thefts.

Residential burglaries

Property was taken from a residence in the 8700 block of Cameron Street between 11:50 p.m. Feb. 27 and 12:15 a.m. Feb. 28. No forced entry was reported; a door was reportedly left unlocked.

Property was taken from a residence in the 10000 block of Brunett Avenue the morning of Feb. 26. Forced entry was reported. Police arrested a suspect.

Property was taken from a residence in the 3400 block of Robey Terrace between 8:30 a.m. and 12:45 p.m. Feb. 28. Forced entry was reported.
