The third man charged following a drug-related double homicide in White Oak will remain jailed after his preliminary court hearing was waived Friday morning.

Andy Panton, 20, of Beltsville, was arrested Feb. 11 and charged with two counts of first-degree murder in the deaths of Jordan Alexander Radway and Christian Deon Roberts.

Panton’s case will be revisited on April 5 and a trial date may be determined. He was represented by a public defender, Theresa Chernosky, who could not immediately be reached for comment after the brief hearing.

Panton appeared in the courtroom through video link, introducing himself and not saying anything else.

Dontaye Hunt and Noah Barnett were initially arrested and charged, but further investigation showed Panton was also involved, police said.

Charging documents state Panton was with Hunt the evening of the shooting, and Hunt told investigators he was seated in a vehicle with Radway and Roberts but someone else was involved. Police and prosecutors say the shooting occurred during a drug deal.

Hunt remained in jail last week after his preliminary hearing was waived. He faces the same murder charges as Panton.

Barnett was charged with conspiracy to distribute marijuana and has a hearing scheduled next week in Montgomery County Circuit Court.
