A Montgomery County man sentenced to 420 years in prison for child sex abuse after a federal trial received an additional 145 years and two life terms in a separate sentence handed down Friday in Montgomery County Circuit Court.
Kyle Stephen Thompson, 33, Burtonsville, pled guilty to 10 counts of various sexual offenses in Montgomery County Circuit Court in October 2018. He has been in a Virginia jail, but appeared before Judge Terrance Mann for the sentencing hearing Friday morning.
Mann’s decision will run consecutive to the federal prison term.
Thompson was sentenced in federal court in early February after his conviction by a federal jury on 18 counts of production of child pornography.
Federal prosecutors said Thompson assaulted three girls, who were between 2 to 4 years old, and videotaped the abuse. Investigators found a computer memory card in his home with 18 videos of the assaults.
The prosecutor’s office said Thompson knew the victims.
Thompson’s defense attorney declined comment Friday, citing office policy.
