Metro ridership headed for two-decade low

A quarterly Metro ridership report from July through December 2018 shows trajectory toward a nearly two-decade low with an average of 595,000 weekday trips.

If the trend continues through May, when Metro benchmarks weekday ridership, it would be the lowest usage since 2000. [WTOP]

Maryland judge, former Rockville lawyer Roger Titus dies at 77

Roger Titus, a Maryland judge and former attorney best known for his defense of then-Montgomery County Council member Ike Leggett in a sexual harassment lawsuit, died March 3 of cancer.

Titus graduated from Bethesda-Chevy Chase High School in 1959 and was the Rockville city attorney for 12 years. [Washington Post]

Five displaced after car crashes into Derwood house

Five people were displaced from their Derwood home after a car drove through the front door early Thursday morning.
