State Democrats introduce legislation to boost funding for Kirwan proposals
Democratic leaders in the General Assembly introduced legislation Monday that would increase public schools funding to pay for education proposals from the Kirwan Commission.
The bill would provide $1 billion over two years to begin implementing recommendations from a commission studying how to improve state schools. [Baltimore Sun]
Police searching for man suspected of robbing Rockville bank three times
Montgomery police are searching for a suspect they believe robbed the same Rockville bank three times.
All of the robberies occurred at a SunTrust Bank on Shady Grove Road and happened on Sundays. [WTOP]
