Commission selects new map for House district
An emergency commission has proposed a new congressional map for western Maryland, including parts of Montgomery County.
The new map would return parts of Frederick and Carroll counties to the 6th District and parts of Montgomery County to the 8th District. [Washington Post]

Jay Speights, 66, an interfaith pastor from Rockville discovered he is a descendant of an African prince during a deep-dive into his family history.

Police investigating robbery as hate crime
Police in Montgomery County are investigating an armed robbery and assault as a hate crime.
Around 10 p.m. Feb. 28 two suspects demanded money from a victim in Silver Spring. The suspects allegedly used a slur referencing their perceived sexual orientation of the victim. [WDVM]
