County police have arrested a third man in connection with a late January double homicide in White Oak after reviewing surveillance video from a bus and gleaning information from social media and an informant.
Andy Panton, 20, was taken into custody on Monday and charged with two counts of first-degree murder, police said.
In announcing the arrest on Wednesday, police did not provide an address but court records indicate Panton lives in Beltsville.
Jordan Alexander Radway, 23, of Laurel, and Christian Deon Roberts, 24, of Silver Spring, were found shot to death in a vehicle on Jan. 28.
Police previously linked the crime to a drug deal allegedly involving 18-year-olds Dontaye Hunt and Noah Barnett.
Hunt has been charged with two counts of first-degree murder and Barnett was charged with conspiracy to distribute marijuana.
Hunt and Barnett are being held without bond.
Charging documents state Hunt told investigators he was seated in the right rear passenger seat at the time Radway and Roberts were shot, but another person was involved in the drug deal and shooting.
Using video from a Metrobus, social media accounts and a confidential source, police were able to identify Panton as the individual with Hunt the evening of the shooting, according to charging documents.
Panton was on probation at the time of his arrest and had faced burglary and theft charges in the past, according to charging documents.
Panton is currently being held in a Montgomery County detention center without bond and a preliminary hearing is scheduled in Rockville District Court on March 15.
