A Rockville man was killed in a collision Saturday night on the Capital Beltway in Bethesda, state police said.
A preliminary investigation found Raul Escobar Bonilla, 57, swerved several times and struck the end of a guardrail on a ramp to Route 355, state police said. His Chevrolet Caprice then turned perpendicular and was struck on the left front bumper by a Mazda 3.
Troopers from the Rockville barrack and Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Service crews responded at 8:40 p.m. to the two-car crash.
The driver of the Mazda 3 was not injured.
Some lanes and the ramp southbound to Route 355 were closed during the investigation.
