Bill proposes more transparency about state judges
Lawmakers, including Montgomery County Delegate David Moon, have proposed legislation to provide more oversight of state judges — by allowing cameras in courtrooms, tracking judges’ sentencing of violent criminals and including the names of judges in online public court records.

Missing Germantown man found dead in Delaware
A man missing for two weeks from Germantown was found dead late last week in Delaware.
The body of Osogho I. Odu was recovered in the area of Fort DuPont State Park, according to police, who did not indicate whether foul play was suspected or the cause of Odu’s death.

Couch cushion causes car fire on I-270
Officials say a couch cushion was the cause of a vehicle fire Saturday morning on I-270 in Rockville.
The vehicle ran over the cushion and it became lodged underneath and caught fire, according to police.
No injuries were reported. [CBS Baltimore]
